“Learning the game the right way, with use of fundamentals, with our premier level coaches while having FUN!”
The main goal of Boston Bolts is to develop youth players. Experts agree that the most impactful soccer development begins before the age of 10. Many kids under 10 don’t receive proper instruction from qualified coaches. For this reason, our junior academy programming – Future Elite Bolts – is dedicated to properly educating and developing very young players.
An age-appropriate learning environment is key in developing our next generation of Bolts athletes. Our professional staff ensures that players learn the proper fundamentals using fun games, drills and activities to ignite a passion for this great game!
All players are welcome and will train in small groups broken up by age and ability so they may learn at their own pace. These new skills will prepare young players for structured team play.
Building Philosophy through Implementation
Our curriculum emphasizes technique training intended to strengthen dribbling, passing, ball control and creativity. Team play and spirit are fostered through group exercises. We also introduce the concept of “possession of the ball for a purpose,” helping young players learn that soccer is much more enjoyable (and effective) when their team keeps the ball and works toward scoring and defending. This is taught through implementing fundamental skills at a young age, while keeping it fun and developing love for the game.
Age appropriate players participating in a Future Elite Bolts program may be invited to be a part of a Bolts U8 or U9 New England Premiership NEP team the season following their program. All players may participate in multiple Future Elite Bolts programs until they are developmentally ready for the U9 structured NEP team play.
