BOSTON BOLTS JOIN THE NATIONAL ACADEMY LEAGUE - GIRLS FOR THE 2024/25 SEASON
LEXINGTON, MA; APRIL 3, 2024 – The Boston Bolts are proud to announce their acceptance into the National Academy League - Girls for the 2024/25 season. The NAL is affiliated with U.S. Youth Soccer, the largest youth sport organization in the country. In collaboration with top clubs from across the east coast, the move enables the Bolts to continue to support their girls' developmental pathways and offer high-level competition for players focused on achieving excellence, on and off the field.
Boston Bolts Girls Director Shane O’ Sullivan had this to say, “We have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to build a strong female program from grassroots all the way up to U23. We are absolutely delighted that we'll be able to provide our female players with the same opportunity to play within a national level platform as their male counterparts. The NAL represents a vital component within our club's strategic vision for showcasing female Bolts players who have the ambition and drive to play at the highest level. We look forward to competing against top clubs in the 2024/25 season."
The Boston Bolts will play in the New England conference of the NAL, providing players looking to develop within a national level platform with opportunities to consistently compete against elite clubs all along the east coast. The Bolts will be represented in the NAL across the U13 (2012) to U19 (2006/07) age groups.
“We’ve been impressed with the vision laid out by the NAL staff following their first year of operation and are excited to continue providing our Bolts players with opportunities to compete against prominent and well-respected clubs," Boston Bolts Sporting Director, Marco Koolman added. “This competition is going to be tremendous and it’ll give our female Bolts players a wonderful platform to develop to their full potential.”
The Boston Bolts will be holding several NAL - Girls ID Centers for prospective players. Please see below for full details:

Monday, May 6th: 5:30-6:30pm, hosted at Roxbury Latin, West Roxbury
Wednesday, May 8th: 6:00-7:30pm, hosted at Woburn HS, Woburn
Thursday, May 9th: 6:15-7:15pm, hosted at Dana Hall School, Wellesley
Friday, May 10th: 5:30-7:00pm, hosted at Minuteman HS, Lexington
2006 - 2009s
