NEWTON, MA- On Saturday, June 21, FC Boston (1-1-0) secured their first victory of the season with a 3-1 win vs FA Euro New York (0-2-0) at Mount Ida College.
FC Boston controlled the game from start to finish. The home team struck first, with Mimi Kenawy slotting a shot into the right corner off a Bernard Yeboah cross in the 26’ minute.
FC Boston wasted no time and scored a second goal in the 40’ minute. Center back Jon Eckford picked his head up and played a beautiful 60 yard diagonal ball to a streaking Harry Swartz. The winger cut inside, dribbled a defender, and calmly struck it into the back of the net.
Against the run of play and the first half winding down to the 45’ minute, FA Euro won a free kick on top of the 18 yard box. Juan Obregon rifled a shot into the top corner in which FC Boston goalkeeper, David Price, had little chance of saving. The score remained 2-1 at halftime.
The second half was all Bolts again. In the 48’ minute Mimi Kenawy scored his second goal of the game after a beautiful display of dribbling. The USMNT Futsal player cut through two defenders and blasted a shot near post to give FC Boston a 3-1 lead. The Bolts had a few more chances to run away with the game but could not capitalize on their breakaways.
The matched finished 3-1 with a deserved 3 points to the home team.
FC Boston (1-1-0), travels to Seacoast United Phantoms to play on June 4th then back home on June 5th vs GPS Portland Phoenix at Mount Ida College.

FC Boston is looking to secure their first win of the season as they host FA Euro New York on Saturday, May 21st, at Mount Ida College. Both teams suffered season opening losses with FC Boston giving away a late goal to Seacoast losing 2-1 while FA Euro lost 1-0 to Westchester Flames.
FC Boston looks to get back on track with collegiate players returning this week after exams and the team now having a few practices under their belt. Former Revolution player, Andy Dorman, will look to control the midfield while Miles Robinson will anchor the defense. UVM product, Bernard Yeboah, should provide speed and strength for the FC Boston attack. Head Coach, Brian Ainscough, is looking to pick up many early season points as the Bolts play 4 of their next 5 games at home.
After spending its first three PDL season in the Mid Atlantic, FA Euro joins the Northeast Division. Key newcomers David Itoafa and Kevin Correa should make an immediate impact player for Head Coach, Angelo Orlando.

NEWTON, MA- On Saturday, June 14, FC Boston endured a 2-1 loss on their inaugural start to the PDL season vs Seacoast United Phantoms at Mount Ida College.
The visitors struck first, with Trent Lougheed’s header from a Terence Carter chip across the goal mouth in the 33’ minute.
FC Boston would even the score with an excellent combination play. Andy Dorman found space in the middle and slotted through a streaking Mimi Kenawy. Kenawy played an early cross to a wide open Bernard Yeboah to even the score at 1-1 in the 69th minute.
FC Boston continued the pressure on Seacoast’s back line but could not capitalize. With 3 minutes to go, Seacoast striker, Alencar Junior, led a counter attack and crossed the ball to an open Errol Reid who slotted home the game winner in the 86’ minute. The game finished 2-1 in favor of Seacoast.
